Doppelherz® aktiv Magnesium + Calcium + D3 supplies the body with essential nutrients for the maintenance of good bone and muscle health. An optimal supply of magnesium is important for the production of energy for the body’s cells. In addition, it is necessary for the proper functioning of nerve cells. Calcium is involved in many biological processes, such as blood coagulation. A good calcium supply is also needed for healthy and strong bones and teeth. Both magnesium and calcium are necessary for normal muscular function, and for numerous enzymatic reactions and physiological processes in the body.

Vitamin D3 helps with the absorption of calcium and phosphorous and favours calcium fixation in the bones. It is produced in the skin upon exposure to sunlight, but vitamin D3 synthesis in the skin may be reduced in naturally darker skin, when skin is covered with clothing, or when it’s protected by sunscreen.

Calcium intake, when combined with sufficient vitamin D, a healthy diet, and regular exercise, may reduce the risk of developing osteoporosis.
